The powerful design of the rear is enhanced by the fixed spoiler. Combined with the pronounced lips of the front bumper spoiler, it guarantees low lift values and uncompromising sportiness.
The effect is clearly noticeable: direct contact with the asphalt, even more involved, more tactile, more sensitive driving.
The contrast is given by the dual exhaust outlet, painted black. The typical Porsche sound transmits this radical power directly from the ear canal to the central nervous system. Logic: when you claim something, you have to know how to make yourself heard.

As standard, the engine benefits from direct fuel injection (DFI). To the nearest thousandth of a second, this system injects fuel directly into the combustion chamber using electromagnetic valves at a pressure of 120 bars. The angles of the jet and injection cone have been optimized; the fuel mixture is therefore more homogeneous and makes combustion more efficient.
The result: convincing numbers, low noise, an optimal charging cycle and the incredible pleasure generated by this engine that runs so smoothly, while reducing fuel consumption and emissions. At the slightest pressure on the accelerator, the Cayman R moves immediately forward. In 5 seconds, it is already at 100 km/h - 0.2 seconds faster than the Cayman S. Top speed: 282 km/h. A highly accurate 6-speed mechanical gearbox, combined with a standard differential lock, transmits this uncompromising power directly to the wheels.
Equipped as an option with the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) gearbox, the Cayman R achieves a 100 km/h standing start in 4.9 seconds and gear changes take place in a few thousandths of a second, without power interruption.
Combined with the PDK gearbox, the optional Sport Chrono Pack further improves acceleration by 0.2 seconds, thanks in particular to the "Launch Control" function.
